Ann Barnhardt skewers Mitt

Ann Barnhardt skewers Mitt

The below-linked video did my soul good. I hope it will benefit you likewise.

When it comes to that old “lesser of 2 evils” thing, I always keep 2 things in mind: RINOs are out to destroy America by stealth. Democrats are out to destroy America straightforwardly.

The RINOs and false conservatives will take her down with the approval of weak-minded conservatives.

The Democrats will encounter more resistance from all conservatives — just as Obama is encountering resistance today for doing the same things Bush did with “conservative” approval in his day.

Therefore, the RINO is the more dangerous of the 2 enemies, because he is wearing camouflage and won’t be spotted as the enemy until it is too late.

Hence my motto is as follows:

If America is to be destroyed, better it be destroyed by someone I didn’t vote for.

A problem solving method that is not — and is popular

by Don Hank

Despite the affirmations of petroleum experts that BP’s wildcat well in the Gulf may not be cappable, numerous pundits are now complaining that BP is tapping the oil spill and not capping it. Some of them are obviously sore that these capitalists are making money on oil that should by rights be contaminating the Gulf, as if capturing the oil and selling it is somehow exacerbating the problem, when in fact the most efficient way to get the oil out of the water is to tap it off and sell it, if for no other reason than that this provides an incentive to continue the cleanup and will provide the cash needed to pay for those minor parts of the cleanup effort that cannot be accomplished by this tapping.  It is a much more viable alternative than, say, fining BP and hence reducing its stock value (which in turn would devalue the portfolios of the elderly, among others).

This lament, heard from both the Left and the right as well as from the ostensibly politically neutral, reflects the Left’s perverted definition of petroleum as a waste product and not a valuable product fit for sale.

Note the new approach to problem solving:

We can’t solve the problem we have at hand but we can change our policies to prevent them in the future.

In the case of BP, this implies rejecting the idea of recovering the oil but trying to stop the flow – as if BP had invested all that money in a rig designed to make sure the oil stays in place?

Applied to the illegal immigration problem, this way of thinking is expressed by the following formula:

Secure the border first.

Applied to the oil spill, it is written:

Stop the leak first.

Both ideas are expressions of a subtle new perversion whose universal expression as follows:

Once a problem exists, it is too late to solve it, but you can make new policies.

This is right in line with the Far-Left’s idea never to let a crisis go to waste.

Implicit in the formula “secure the border first,” is the suggestion to do absolutely nothing to send back illegal aliens while haggling interminably in a tied congress to stop the flow of immigration. When you look at the politicians who keep mouthing this inanity, we find that most on the Republican side of the aisle are the old pro-amnesty suspects (“immigration reform”). On the Democrat side, the picture is even more grim: they turn out to be Democrats.

Implicit in “stop the leak first” is the suggestion to dedicate all efforts toward changing the policies that supposedly caused the spill while doing nothing to clean up the spill and mitigate the effects on nature.

As insane as these policies sound – and really are – they are both being pushed as hard as possible, one by the Left and run-along RINOs like John McCain and the other by Obama and his allies in congress.

This is why we not only can’t afford to re-elect Democrats. We also can’t afford to elect any more RINOs.

They both think alike. And their way of thinking is spreading to the grassroots.

Let’s do our level best to keep them out of congress and out of our national psyche.

Obama YouTube interview shows public ignorance

YouTube Obama interview highlights public ignorance

By Don Hank

An interview with Obama on YouTube shows that Americans are dissatisfied with his leadership. Sadly, it also shows that the public is ignorant of the real issues and the causes of their discontent.

WHAT’S HERE:

Note the question “how can we trust you when you hold meetings behind closed doors?”

Or the one about why banks can get bailed out but people who can’t afford to stay in their homes get nothing. (Obviously, this is just part of the socialist mind set. Instead of understanding that no one should get a handout from the tax payer, the knee jerk reaction to the bailouts is: Fine, bail out banks, but give me my bailout too).

On the other hand, this interview is surprisingly frank at places, and please note that this is the leftist mainstream media putting Obama in the hot seat. The Left is definitely not happy, and it is hard to imagine what Obama can come up with the satisfy them.

Net neutrality came up and Obama is for it. That means government involvement. No surprise.

Something positive here: Obama thinks colleges have to cut costs. That is a start. Professors and administrators are generally overpaid. Of course, that is probably just lip service but the issue is now on the table.

BIG SURPRISE: Obama at least pays lip service to nuclear power, pointing to Japan and France as countries that have led the way. Hmmm. Note that even GOP politicians don’t talk like that.

CONSPICUOUSLY MISSING:

Not surprisingly, there were no questions about the overarching issues:

– abortion: Obama and other Dems talk about “making abortion scarce.” Yet they are fighting to include free abortions in the healthcare bill and forcing the taxpayer to pay for abortions overseas. Then there is the issue of forced abortion in China. Even Dems can’t afford to be too callous on these issues. Where was the question: What have you done to make “abortions scarce” as promised, Mr. President?

– illegal immigration (possibly the no. 1 underlying economic problem)

– American sovereignty (powers turned over to the UN, EU, NAFTA, World Bank, IMF, WHO, etc; the internet, long controlled by the US, is now under European rule. Europeans generally believe censorship is a necessary part of life! It’s coming). Where was the question: Mr. President, should America continue to be a sovereign nation?

– the Fed, Fanny/Freddy and the CRA (illegal immigrants getting loans) and Barney Frank and Sen. Dodd’s involvement in them, all of which played a major role in the subprime crisis and in the bank crash and bailout scandals

– the Marxist government takeover of big businesses such as GM

– The record budget deficits and borrowing from China, the question as to where the money will come from once China cuts us off, etc, the issue of printing money and the question: how can America avoid the inflationary consequences of wanton money printing that were incurred in the Weimar Republic, where people had to take their salaries to the bank in wheelbarrows?

– Of course, a question that so far no one dares ask is: where is your long-form birth certificate, Mr. “President”?

In summary, the interview highlights the un-constitutionality of these manifestations of big government control or lack of constitutional protections and the shallowness of this line of questioning means one, some or all of the following:

1-the US public has been brainwashed into accepting these things,

2-the YouTube presentation is self-censored, or

3-Obama and/or his handlers said “no questions on the following issues: …..”

Whatever the case may be, the media and the elite in general would not have asked these questions of a Republican either. They are taboo.

Yet these are the key questions that need to be asked, and the fact that they are taboo explains in large part why these issues are causing growing problems that threaten our very existence and that some day will cry out for answers regardless of media censorship. That will inevitably happen when the money runs out ad you and I hear the unfamiliar growl of real hunger in our gut — hunger. But we must try not to head off the insanity before that happens, and that means you and I have a big job to do, and we might have to do it all alone, just you and me.

You and I, my friend, must keep up the drumbeat and create such a stir over these issues that even the Dems, their friends the RINOs and the mainstream media can no longer ignore them, not in their daily reporting and certainly not in interviews with leading politicians.

Here is the interview:

RINOs surfing the euphoria wave

Don Hank

As soon as I learned McCain and Mitt Romney were present at Brown’s acceptance speech, I realized the GOP’s strategy: Mask their RINO stench, eventually get them onto the ballot and then get one of them into the White House.

Many real conservatives were euphoric about Brown’s win because they saw it as a way to defeat Obamacare and turn America rightward.

But the ELITES in the GOP saw it as they golden opportunity to manipulate you by association.

Simple, really, according to the following equation:

OE = RE > R = OU

Our Euphoria = RINO’s Euphoria, hence RINOs = One of Us.

If you believe that, I have some land for you off the Florida shore.

This sleight of hand is combined with another potent dirty trick by the establishment: securing Sarah Palin as an accomplice in supporting McCain in AZ.

Everyone in my readership is aware of such tactics and I am not under any delusion that you are fooled.

But some of you may harbor illusions about your fellow conservatives who aren’t as smart as you. So now is the time to fight this with everything you’ve got, because a McCain or Romney presidency could, in the long run, do more damage than the Obama presidency — precisely because they would, at least initially, be trusted by many independants and gullible conservatives who saw them cheering for Scott Brown.

Back in the days of the first amnesty push, I – along with many of you — spent many tense days calling congress people to warn them NOT to vote for the McCain-Bush-KENNEDY amnesty. We averted that disaster by the skin of our teeth.

But with McCain in the White House, it will be MUCH more difficult than before–maybe impossible.

Ok, what has McCain done for America?

1 — Made a big show of suspending his campaign (it was in fact PART of his campaign) to sign an un-Constitutional bill to give your money to his rich banker friends

2 — Now that unemployment is around 20 devastating percent for whites and over 30% for some black groups, Juan McCain has not ONCE backed away from his pro-invasion stance.  As far as he’s concerned, Mexican scofflaws get first dibs at the rapidly disappearing US job market.

He doesn’t care about jobs for America any more than Obama. They are partners in crime — the crime of selling out America’s sovereignty for political gain.

As for Mitt, we know all we need to know about CFR member Mitt Romney from a previous article appearing here (this article is partially missing due to a web site crash at Underground Journal, but I will be glad to send you the text. Just drop me a line at zoilandon@msn.com)

So you see, RINOs are euphoric about Brown’s win, but not for the same reason as you. JUST THE OPPOSITE! They know the Brown win is a chance to falsely cast themselves as conservatives, grabbing the credit for what the grassroots did in MA.

The EU wants unlimited fines for Christian speech

EU targets Christianity and free speech

I have sometimes heard American conservatives say that what happens in other parts of the world is of no consequence to us. They get impatient with those of us who look at what is happening in Europe and say “well, they made their bed. Now they must lie in it.”

While it is true that our founders spoke against “entangling alliances” and we should have avoided such a long time ago, the fact remains that the US and Europe are virtually joined at the hip thanks to the alliances our past leaders have established. And thanks in no small part to the blindness of voters in the last presidential election.

Thus we see the European Union poised to destroy Christian speech in what appears to be an imitation of the ACLU this side of the Atlantic. But it is not. Though no monolith, the Left eyes the same ends everywhere. The Fabian Socialists in the UK (Tony Blair was a prominent one) and the Frankfurt School from Germany (now firmly implanted in the US) have the same end: eradicate our culture and replace it with a leftist one in which a self-elected Big Brother decides what we may and may not say and do.

Why should I care what happens in Europe, you say?

The EU is using the same tactics to achieve its ends and has the same goals as our Left. That goal is a one-world leftist government.

Therefore, what happens in Europe will happen here if it has not already, so at the very least, it is a barometer. But worse, the EU is already extending its tentacles to other places. There have been proposals within the EU to widen its reach to Africa and the Middle East. Turkish membership is already being discussed.

And German Justice Minister Brigitte Zypries has already called for German control of the internet and the adoption of the German legal system throughout the world. In case you didn’t know, German courts and legislators have all but banned home schooling and have banned “hate” speech on the internet and in public. A pastor was jailed there for preaching an anti-abortion sermon. Frau Zypries has said she wants us to follow suit. Sweden seems to be perfectly  willing.

Anyone daring to say current politicians in Germany are like nazis is violating the law prohibiting the “trivializing of the holocaust.” So if you think the nazilike politicians are nazilike, better keep it to yourself. (I won’t travel to Germany and I believe a travel boycott is warranted. Maybe that is a subject for another post).

At some point, American leftists will make a bid for one-world government, something that US presidents of both parties, now including Obama, and the EU, the UN and the IMF have been quietly working toward for years, including a worldwide currency to replace the dollar.

The Obama government has said it does not want a good crisis to go to waste. Clearly, both parties, which have long been in the hands of one-world advocates (most presidents have been Council on Foreign Relations members, who are indoctrinated to believe that a one-world government is inevitable and desirable for world peace), and the goal will be the same as in the EU.

The EU started out as an economic entity too, supposedly concerned only with creating a giant market place where goods could travel freely, unfettered by trade barriers.

But from the very outset, this economic focus was only part of a bait and switch scheme. The bait is now gone and the switch is in place. The EU now is telling courts and legislatures all over Europe what they can and must do, and as you will read below, the results are a bit on the totalitarian side. This brings us to another implication for the US: beware multinational efforts like NAFTA.

Ireland was a holdout for years, having voted No in a referendum. But the EU insiders pretended to make a few changes to mollify the Irish and called for a new referendum so that the Irish could vote Yes on the supposedly“new”Lisbon Treaty concerning a EU constitution. But the Irish were duped. The “changes” were minimal to non-existent, but the actual document – though hyped by the elite — was more inaccessible to voters than the Health Care bill was to the US public.

And did you notice something?: If Ireland got to vote twice, shouldn’t the other member nations get that opportunity?

Of course. The fact that they don’t is clear evidence that this is pure snake oil.

There is nothing even remotely democratic about having nay voters vote again and again until the elites get the result they want but not allowing yea voters to do the same. Further, groups in the UK and Germany are saying it was illegal. The EU apparently illegally invested public monies from the member states in promoting the Yes vote in Ireland. And Jose Manuel Barroso, the President of the EU Commission, also went to Ireland on the tax payers’ dime, in violation of the EU’s own rules. This was supposed to be an internal affair but the unsuspecting Irish were dragged into it by a foreign power.

The only holdout today is Czech President Vaclav Klaus, one of the most brilliant men in Europe, who sees through the hype but is being pressured by the EU and member countries to sign the Lisbon treaty.

All of the above-described shenanigans reflect the way Obamacare is being rammed down our throats.

What does the EU teach us?

I think the main lesson is that the Fabian socialists are winning the world through stealth. They are, de facto, achieving their ends of world domination by “democratic” means. How did they do it? The churches went along, the Vatican went along, the “conservative” politicians went along, and now they are dragging the people along behind them. And many of the people are still under the delusion that this is all to their benefit. But a growing number smell a rat.

And note something curious:
While the EU, like American Democrats and RINOs, are using the “gay” issues like gay marriage, and immigrants of the Muslim faith to gin up sympathy for “victim” groups and thereby develop an artificial pretext for their anti-Christian schemes,
ironically, Russia, once the bastion of the Left, is not having any of this and hardly goes along with any of the EU’s schemes.

A few years back, the mayor of Moscow banned a proposed “gay” parade and made a few arrests when a few hardy souls decided to stage it anyway.

And about a year ago, the Russian Orthodox Prelate made a speech before the EU and told them that Europe lacks morality. He also complained to EU Commission President Barroso of Christian persecution in Europe.

If the mad rush to self destruction can’t be stopped from within, our traditional enemy may become an ally at some point and may become the last holdout for traditional Christianity.

And the first shall be last and the last shall be first.

The EU wants unlimited fines for Christian speech

By Graham Wood

I am writing today in regard to the latest example of proposed legislation, which can only be described as horrific, which will be coming forward.   Needless to say it is an EU “directive”.

What is a directive?

A directive emanating from the EU must pass into legislation in an EU member state, although there is some freedom to adapt to national culture and circumstances. Note, however, that such is the sheer scale of EU legislation, not to mention its complexity of language (bureaucratic legalese) that the vast amount is not even known about by our MPs [Members of Parliament], let alone finding time or opportunity to debate in our House of Commons.
When you read this you will know just how far we have travelled down the road to totalitarianism, and a return to the crudities of religious (Christian) persecution associated with former times (the absolutism of the Stuart Kings and the notorious Star Chamber).  It is proposed (I quote from a small Christian newspaper):

“The provisions are simply appalling, so appalling that most people will not believe what we say until it is too late.  The aim seems to be the destruction of our Christian culture and the removal of any right for free speech on Christian matters.
Of course, it affects other religions, but somehow we doubt whether Moslems and atheists will get the same rough treatment [GW: You bet they won’t – it’s aimed at Christians – and in reality through them, an expression of hatred towards the Saviour].
Basically, if in the province of any service, that is, any public gathering or building or employment terms, you say or do something that another person claims to be offended by, then it is up to you, not the offended party (complainant), to prove that they are not offended.  Should you fail to prove this negative to the court’s satisfaction you are liable to pay compensation to which no upper limit is fixed!
All sorts of people can be affected, not just hoteliers, landlords, (almost anyone involved in a public ‘service’), and it could include publishing houses, schools, universities, preachers, doctors, lawyers, and almost any aspect of media transmission.
According to the Christian Institute: “The proposals explanatory notes make it clear that churches will be forced to consider practising homosexuals for youth worker posts, and similar roles if these become law.”

But the implications are far wider than this one example — for the proposals are so loose and vague in definition that it could be a ‘catch all’ for almost anything whereby somebody could claim to be “offended”
This is dangerous in and of itself as you will know, but it has other severe possible repercussions, for it reverses the historic principle of the presumption of innocence until proved guilty, would be a draconian inhibition of free speech and expression, and freedom of association.
(All in theory protected under our own Constitution and Bill of Rights and later Human Rights Act with which they come into conflict)
Let me give you an example of this heinous “law” in action.

Under existing “Equality” law:
A Christian couple, owners of a small hotel in the UK, had an open discussion in their own premises, a private conversation, with a Muslim guest. The discussion ranged over Mohammed, the person of Christ etc.  The guest left the hotel and later “reported” the conversation to the police, and they in turn charged the couple with a crime (not yet known) because they defended their faith and criticised Islam).
It is extremely unlikely that the charge will be continued or the couple taken to court, but of course the damage has been done. It is the intimidating nature of these laws that will “chill” free speech in almost any context.
Why “unlimited fines,” reserved usually for serious crimes such as robbery, violence, etc? Clearly there is a harsh vindictive determination on the part of the EU and our government to crush any Christian witness in the public square.  (Acts 4 comes to mind “Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God – judge ye….”).
Two fine Christian organisations in the UK work tirelessly to defend such cases as above – The Christian Institute, and Christian Concern for the Nation. Both need our prayers and support.
It is no exaggeration to say, as CCFON states, that “This is a recipe for cultural genocide”

Afterword:

President Klaus has since caved in to enormous pressure and signed. Please, therefore, sign the petition to show that ordinary people aren’t buying into dictatorship without a fight.

Are conservatives seeing the Keynesian light?

There is now talk of Keynesian economics – in reverent tones, on both sides of the aisle. As a quick review, John Maynard Keynes is the Big Government economist who said that even if the government paid people to dig ditches and fill them back up again, that would stimulate the economy. Obama – along with Bush, McCain and many others who voted for the bank bailout – seems to believe this.

Thus the Left is propagating the story that FDR’s initial attempts to stem the Great Depression failed not because he spent tax money but because he didn’t spend enough. They point to the way WWII stimulated the economy.

What they forget is that back then

1 – America was a huge manufacturing engine. The war primed this engine.

2 – America was on the gold standard. Money spent to stimulate it was real, not the play money we use today

The mainstream media, enamored of Big Government, are saturated with stories about how conservatives are leaving the GOP for the Democratic Party. The narrative is that, now that Bush and McCain have gone down in flames, one-time conservatives have seen the failure of conservative principles, have seen the light and are drifting leftward in droves. Capitalism needs “change.” Pro-life ideas need “change.” And change is spelled: d-e-s-t-r-o-y.

I just got done gagging on one article written in this vein. My response to the author is below.

Hello Mike,

Re. your article mjoseph@centredaily.com

You make some good points, but you missed the main story:

Bush did not fail because he was too conservative. He failed because he was too far left.

Look at the evidence:

— overtures toward global governance (SPP, Mexican truck highway, acquiescence on climate control)

— open borders

— attempt to massively pardon invading lawbreakers

— harsh sentence for border patrol agents who fired at fleeing drug dealer, use of this drug dealer’s testimony (with immunity) to convict the agents

— no real advances in the pro-life agenda, with abortion proceeding unabated

— majority of Syrian Christians forced to flee Iraq and now living in Sweden, their churches burned to the ground (they were safer under Saddam!)

— support for creation of a Muslim state in Europe (Kosovo)

— treatment of the far-left Lula in Brazil as a moderate

— support for a trillion dollar bailout bill with no strings attached to the giveaway

— faith-based initiatives providing a means for the State to control major aspects of church policy

— No Child Left Behind greatly expands government, further reverses Constitutional role of the states in education

— acquiescence to the Left’s agenda to strong-arm banks into lending under no-down payment, no-doc policies under the CRA, as aided by ACORN (I have a copy of Bush’s HUD site’s page touting his “Zero-Downpayment Initiative”)

Economically, Bush was a Big Government Republican like Herbert Hoover. The mistakes of this left-leaning politician posing as a conservative have misled some gullible people to believe that conservatism is not viable.

The thing that is not viable, and may never be viable, is the GOP. Their election of moderate Michael Steele as the RNC chair shows they just aren’t smart enough to win any more.

The real story for you to cover is Republicans fleeing to the American Independent Party.

Best,

Plenty of shame to go around

The Right grovels, the Left takes the spoils

We had previously shown how the Bush administration had so willingly run along with the Left’s agenda to provide affordable housing to minorities, demanding that 50% and more of Fanny Mae mortgages go to minorities, and even trying to foist a “no-downpayment” scheme on the public.

Today we look at how the other side of the aisle, including Barack Obama, shamefully benefitted from Fanny and Freddy’s donations.

It is clear from all reports that, while Bush and RINOs groveled to ingratiate themselves with the kingpins of Big Mortgage, these kingpins were pushing for more power to the Left.

The easiest explanation why the Republicans want to run along with this shameful process is that there seems no longer to be any meaningful difference in ideology between the two parties.

We now have a one-party system, and it is up to American ingenuity to destroy this evil empire before it destroys us.

Your fury is ignited and is growing. It may be sufficient to turn enough Americans against the elites who brought on this financial crash to elect a third party candidate.

Not much is known about our most viable alternative, Chuck Baldwin, but he does have some surprisingly powerful endorsements, such as Jerome Corsi.

They say he has no government experience.

Neither did George Washington.

Are you angry enough to ditch the Republicans who helped mightily to bring down the American economy and are now poised to socialize the American financial market?

Do you dare to dream?

Another alternative is to vote for McCain and then be prepared to fight him tooth and nail on issues like finance and illegal immigration for the next 4 years. We have not found the new Reagain, but have you ever considered that you, the American people, can be the Reagan you long for? Think about it.

At any rate, you can start by opposing the bailout like you opposed the amnesty bill. If you give it your best shot, that miscreant legislation will fail.

Morning Bell: A Vicious Cycle of Their Own Making

“But Fannie and Freddie pushed back hard, turning to friends on the left for protection. Former Walter Mondale and Barack Obama campaign adviser James Johnson led a fierce lobbying campaign to fight reform of Freddie and Fannie. Clinton administration OMB director Franklin Raines told investors when he was Fannie Mae CEO in 1999: “We manage our political risk with the same intensity that we manage our credit and interest rate risks.” Fannie and Freddie’s lobbying power over the left continues to be strong to this day. According to the Center for Responsive Politics, the top three recipients of campaign donations from Freddie and Fannie’s PACs and employees are all Democrats. From 1989 through today, Sen. Chris Dodd received $165,400, Barack Obama $126,349, and John Kerry $111,000. The Washington Post concludes: ‘Blessed with the advantages of a government agency and a private company at the same time, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac used their windfall profits to co-opt the politicians who were supposed to control them.'”

Update: Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Invest in Lawmakers

Published by Lindsay Renick Mayer on September 11, 2008 11:26 AM | Permalink | Comments (22)

When the federal government announced two months ago that it would prop up mortgage buyers Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, CRP looked at how much money members of Congress had collected since 1989 from the companies. On Sunday the government completely took over the two government-sponsored enterprises, and we’ve returned to our data to bring you the updates, this time providing a list of all 354 lawmakers who have gotten money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (in July we posted the top 25). These totals are based on data released electronically from the FEC on Sept. 2 and include contributions to lawmakers’ leadership PACs and candidate committees from the floundering companies’ PACs and employees. Current members of Congress have received a total of $4.8 million from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, with Democrats collecting 57 percent of that. This week we also wrote about how much money lawmakers had invested of their own money in the companies last year–a total of up to $1.7 million.
