Day of prayer for Ramos and Compean
Day of Prayer for Ramos and Compean
A message from grassfire.net
This Sunday is a special, loving day in America–a day full of appreciation, flowers, breakfast in bed, cards, and most of all, hugs for our moms.
But Sunday is also day 480 of 4,017 for Nacho Ramos,
and day 480 of 4,383 for Jose Compean.
Nothing special, just one more empty day in a never ending torment of lonely days. For Ramos the end comes a year sooner than his partner, but even still, they are barely into their prison journey. A journey that has already stolen more special family moments than either can count and one that won’t end until their children are grown.
Earlier this week, Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) announced a National Day of Prayer on May 11th for the agents.
Yes, historically this is a special day for mom’s all across our nation, but this year, I’m asking that you will join with me and my family, and take just a few moments out of your day to also prayerfully remember Nacho Ramos and Jose Compean.
These men put their lives on the line for us, and for me, it is the least I can do to keep them in my thoughts
and prayers–not just on May 11, but day after day until they are freed and reunited with their loved ones.
On behalf of each of these men, thank you for your commitment and support.
Thanks for standing with Grassfire.
Steve

Take the message to your Hispanic friends
by Donald Hank
I urge you to tell your pastor about this day of prayer for Nacho Ramos and Jose Compean and their families. Ask for prayer that these men may know that they are by no means forgotten by the people they risked their freedom to protect from a dangerous drug trafficker.
And would you forward this touching Spanish-language letter to your Hispanic friends as well?
Contrary to what politicians seem to think, the Hispanic community is incensed and deeply saddened by the incarceration of these two border guards, who after all, are two of their brothers, caught in a political intrigue that they simply cannot possibly understand. (In fact few of us even understand the further-reaching globalist agenda in all of this).
English translation:
This Sunday (10 May), we urge our Christian brothers everywhere to pray for agents Nacho Ramos and Jose Compean, who are in prison, so far from their families who love them so much and who, like the good Latinos they are, will stay faithful to them until death.
Life has been too hard for these border patrol agents, who will not see the light of day or be in the midst of their families for many years-if indeed they survive these many years of incarceration. What is more, their wives will no longer receive a penny of their husbands’ salaries thanks to the harsh sentence these poor fellows are suffering. They lost everything attempting to defend their fellow countrymen from a criminal who was trying to harm the children of their country with dangerous contraband drugs. What father would not do everything in his power to protect his loved ones?
This harsh sentence means that their children will suffer deprivation. This tragedy can be appreciated better if we realize that politicians and judges who are convicted of crimes and imprisoned in the US continue to receive generous salaries and pensions fit for kings.
How far our land has fallen! O, how far we have come from the American dream!
May God forgive my fallen nation for this terrible injustice.
One more thing: If you are planning on attending any John McCain campaign events, please try to convey to Mr. McCain that the Hispanic community is incensed by this jailing of their 2 brothers and ask if he is planning on pardoning these two men. And if not, why not.

Thank you for bringing this to the attention of freedom loving Americans.
As someone who voted for George W, twice, this is the bitterest pill to swallow–how could he betray these two border patrol agents as he has done and choose their lives over his friendship with buddy Johnny Sutton?

Where should contributions for the Compean family be sent?
